with 4 days classroom study in Dorchester  Dorset

About Spectrum Hypnotherapy

Spectrum Hypnotherapy is the specialised hypnotherapy training division of the Who Am I? Counselling & Hypnotherapy Service.

The training centre is also the clinic and is in a very quiet area on the outskirts of Dorchester, approximately one mile from the town centre.

Why choose Spectrum?
Our Hypnotherapy course is designed to make learning fun and enhance the discovery process by an interactive teaching method and a truly experiential course. This training course is designed for anyone over the age of 21 with a basic level of secondary education. There is no need for prior knowledge of hypnosis or counselling skills.  Spectrum Hypnotherapy Training aims to educate you to diploma level using group based workshops as well as pairs work. We use a wide range of techniques to help you achieve the course objectives.

What makes Spectrum special?
We believe that Spectrum is special because we make the training personal and more hands-on.  You will not be just given books to study from, like many other schools. You will be taught basic counselling skills, crucial for personal interaction with clients and you will be introduced to basic NLP skills practice with optional further training in NLP after completion of the course.
You will also be introduced to covert (conversational) hypnosis, the benefits of which are outstanding and something that we at Spectrum are very passionate about.
While we may be more expensive than some, what we are offering is a GHSC accredited course. We feel that because the classroom size is eight persons per course, individual attention, for whatever reason, is always assured. Because of this, we feel that our course is extremely good value - not forgetting the investment you are making in your future. As soon as the ink is dry and the seal is set on your diploma you can start working and earning as a qualified therapist.

What you can expect
The course consists of ten modules over 20 weeks, classroom study will be on alternate Saturdays from 09.30am until 4.30pm and you will be required to apply yourself to a minimum of 350 hours home study, practice, reading and research.
The teaching methods will include lectures, case studies, practice videos and DVD’s, demonstrations and student skills practice.

On successful completion of the course, you will be able to:

The course content is in line with National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Hypnotherapy. For more information see the following website http://www.hypnotherapyregulation.co.uk/nos/
