Stop Smoking with Hypnotherapy

With the ever-increasing pressure with new imposed laws to stop smoking, one of the most effective ways for many people to quit is through the use of hypnosis. The Government say they are assisting people to quit.

BUT DID YOU KNOW THIS ?
There is a lot of controversy over this claim by the Government. The NHS continues to recommend N.R.T (nicotine replacement therapy) as the treatment of choice for smoking cessation, and resist calls to endorse hypnotherapy.  Most therapists suspect that this has something to do with a David versus Goliath problem.  Some say it is to do with money being given to the NHS by pharmaceutical companies. Whatever it is, it's not helping… in fact quite the reverse.  My belief is based on research that NRT will undoubtedly and conclusively be exposed as nothing more effective than a placebo (i.e. dummy patches) not forgetting the side effects reported by the majority that have taken NRT therapy. There have been numerous  times when therapists, including myself, have asked for clinical trials to be prepared. This would be done as follows; 100 volunteers would be given N.R.T. and a further 100 volunteers would be given Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. There would be then be a follow-up in six months and then again in 12 months. Guess what? Yes, that's right… the NHS refused.
Isn’t that a surprise? Especially when you consider the involvement of funding pharmaceutical companies.

"What can I expect when booking a session?"
Clients who would like treatment to stop smoking will first be given an assessment to make sure that they are fully committed to stop. Don't, however, automatically assume that you can book a session and have treatment straight away. After a successful assessment the treatment will be fully explained. to understand more about hypnosis please click on this link>>>>>

Hypnotherapy

There is only one session which lasts approximately two hours. This includes the 20 minutes assessment. You will be given some very good research literature, along with a reinforcement CD, to take away with you. You are strongly advised to listen to it for 14 days, once daily. You will also be given a certificate of achievement and commitment after seven days. During 14 days you have full telephone support if needed. You will be contacted after four weeks purely for record-keeping purposes.
It is important to understand that effort, determination and full commitment are required. Hypnotherapy is not magic. Without your effort and commitment it will not, and cannot, work alone.

Finally as a registered addiction therapist, and after all, that's what smoking is, a drug addiction, I shall be giving you coping strategies with the use of NLP. You may have seen Paul McKenna frequently using these strategies on television. You can visit my NLP page for further information >>>>NLP
