The Metamorphic Experience
What can I expect from the hypnosis therapy?
Your attitude and relationship with food will change dramatically. You will be able to identify the 'stop sign', that your subconscious provides you with, much more easily and stop eating when full. You will become more motivated to eat better, healthier food, moving away from junk / processed foods and preferring the 'healthy option'
You will feel better about yourself - as you lose weight your confidence levels as well as your self esteem will increase causing you to have a more positive outlook. This new positive attitude will allow you to tackle obstacles in a much more motivated way.
If you have been struggling with self-image issues, these too will be addressed leaving you feeling less critical of yourself. Issues that have been subconsciously affecting you for many years will be resolved, reducing stress levels as well as other unwanted behaviours and habits such as self-sabotage, binge eating and punishment. Once these issues have been resolved you will finally realise that you can now 'take back control' of your life and make the decisions for yourself.
How can hypnotherapy help me lose weight?
By looking into the psychological cause of weight gain for a particular person or persons, a new attitude towards food can be created and will prevent that person from turning to food when they are anxious, lonely, stressed, bored, depressed etc. Group sessions and back up CD’s will address these problems along with information, group talks and peer support.
Let’s look at the reasons why people become overweight in the first place:
1). By eating too quickly - Are you always the first to finish? Do you put down your eating utensils and savour your food, or do you just shovel it in? Do you ever enjoy the flavours, texture and aroma of your food? Do you kill your appetite rather than address it? Hypnotherapy will help you slow down your eating and allow you to actually enjoy eating, only eating what your body physiologically needs
2). By eating to compensate for boredom, lack of love, loneliness - Do you find yourself reaching for the biscuit tin or that favourite chocolate bar when you have nothing to do, or when you are alone or feel lonely and unloved? Hypnotherapy will enable you to fully understand your emotions, your reactions to them and allow you to break the habitual link that your subconscious has between emotions and food.
3). By eating to reward yourself - Not eaten all day? Been good deserve a treat? Rewarding yourself with food might seem a good idea at the time but it will only lead to the pounds piling on. Hypnotherapy will enable you to understand why you need to reward yourself and, once again, break the link that your subconscious has between reward and food.
4). By always clearing your plate - Do you ever leave food on your plate? Why not? Don't want to waste it? Was it the way you were taught when young? Do you sit on the settee and just pile the food into your mouth while you watch your favourite soap? Hypnotherapy will help you slow down your eating and allow you to feel the 'stop sign' that tells you when you are full. This factor alone will reduce your food intake considerably by ensuring that you eat 'consciously', remember you can waste it in the bin or you can waste it on your waist….waste to waist….. its up to you.
5). By skipping meals and eating low fat foods - People who skip meals and eat low fat food are messing around with their metabolism. The brain and the stomach get mixed messages. Skipping meals also causes the metabolism to slow down and causes all types of negative problems Hypnotherapy will motivate you to embark upon a regular and healthy eating regime.
6). By overeating to protect yourself - Does the thought of attention from the opposite sex or your lack of confidence bring out the biscuit tin or chocolate bar? Is your partner quite happy with your size and feel that a slimmer you could be a temptation to stray? Do you find yourself yo-yoing when on diets? This Hypnotherapy treatment seminar and the back up CD’s will allow you to explore the root cause of why you eat to protect yourself and allow you to move on and successfully lose weight - but permanently this time.
Why can't dieting help you lose weight permanently?
The word diet brings forth our old survival instinct to protect us from famine and starvation, leading inevitably to death. Although used by many organizations and weight-loss programmes, the word diet is a negative word. Please remember as strong as this therapy is, you cannot fight against the survival instinct built within all of us. Surprisingly, your great concern about being overweight leads to sporadic dieting, this in turn suggests starvation, starvation in turn demands defence, it brings out the survival instinct that is responsible for maintaining your excess weight.
